El Festival de Cannes és la major trobada internacional de professionals del cinema a nivell mundial. Els dies 18 i 19 de maig de 2020, Frankfurter Buchmesse està organitzant una gira internacional d’editors a aquesta ciutat per segona vegada, amb el recolzament financer del Ministeri Federal de Relacions Exteriors d’Alemanya.
El recorregut està obert a editorials seleccionades i agències literàries de països de parla alemanya i per a editors de Canadà (Invitat d’Honor 2020), així com per als editors dels Països Invitats d’Honor a la Fira de Frankfurt: 2021 (Espanya), 2022 (Eslovènia), 2023 (Itàlia) i 2019 (Noruega). Tots ells es poden postular per a presentar-se en aquest prestigiós festival de cinema.
També s’ofereix una acreditació per al Festival de Cinema, permet l’accés a esdeveniments de networking exclusius amb productores de cinema. El programa “Shoot the Book!”, organitzat per SCELF (Société Civile des Éditeurs de Langue Française) i l’Institut Français, és una oportunitat única per a promocionar llibres amb un potencial especial d’adaptació a la pantalla. A més, un expert en cine aconsellarà sobre com presentar el contingut professionalment a una audiència de grans actors internacionals en la indústria del cinema.

The “Festival de Cannes” is the largest international gathering of film professionals worldwide. On 18 and 19 May 2020, Frankfurter Buchmesse is organizing an international Publishers’ Tour to Cannes for the second time, now with financial support from the German Federal Foreign Office.
The tour is open to selected publishers and literary agencies from German-speaking countries and for publishers from our Guest of Honour 2020 Canada as well as for upcoming Guest of Honour countries like Spain 2021, Slovenia and Italy and our last GoH Norway 2019. Publishers from these countries can apply to present themselves at the prestigious film festival.
Frankfurter Buchmesse not only offers an accreditation for the Cannes Film Festival and the Cannes Film Market, but also enables access to exclusive networking events with film producers. The “Shoot the Book!” programme – organised by SCELF (Société Civile des Editeurs de Langue Française) and the Institut Français – is a unique opportunity to promote books with a special screen-adaptation potential.
