Us facilitem a sota la informació rebuda de la fira sobre l’activitat anomenada BolognaBookPlus que han llançat el 2021 en col·laboració amb l’associació italiana d’editors (AIE), i que funciona en paral·lel a la Fira del Llibre Infantil de Bolonya, amb l’objectiu d’arribar a un públic professional més ampli de la indústria editorial mundial. Aquest any, en línia amb BCBF, és un esdeveniment únic online que inclou una conferència d’un dia sobre la indústria, un curs de formació en drets, un fòrum de traducció, parcel·les per a editors i una conferència d’autoedició.

BolognaBookPlus, launched in 2021, in partnership with the Italian Publishers Association (AIE), runs in parallel with the acclaimed Bologna Children’s Book Fair, aiming to reach a wider professional audience across the global publishing industry. This year, in line with BCBF, it’s an online only event, comprising a one-day industry conference, a rights training course, a translation forum, publisher pitches, and a self-publishing conference.

Forging Forward conference unveiling new speakers daily

Check out the impressive, influential and eminent cast of speakers confirmed so far, for “Forging Forward: The Pandemic – An Interruption or an Opportunity to Rethink”. Newly added are: Denmark’s Mette Hammerich Caserta (Saga Egmont); Pakistan’s Ameena Saiyid (Lightstone); UK’s Caroline Michel, Peter Fraser Dunlop and Nathan Hull (Beat Technology); and India’s Sidharth Jain (StoryInk). BBPlus Author Ambassador announced

Victoria Hislop takes the stage as the Author Ambassador for the first BBPlus, taking place online. A hugely popular author the world over, Victoria has been translated into 30 languages. Her first book The Island sold over two million copies worldwide. We’re thrilled to have such a wonderful author as the first Ambassador for the inaugural BBPlus initiative. Find out more!

Annual Literary Translation Forum

The inaugural Literary Translation Forum, in partnership with Words Without Borders, considers “Who Gets to Translate? Diversity & Inclusion in Literary Translation”. This very current theme will be debated by translators from multiple nationalities and languages, including Ruth Ahmedzai Kemp, a literary translator from the UK, who translates from German, Russian and Arabic to English, and has been shortlisted for many prizes including, the Helen & Kurt Wolff Translator’s Prize and the Saif Ghobash Banipal Prize. The panel will be followed by an Italian/ English Translation Slam with audience Q&A. Find out more!
